Selina Pedi-Smith is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of the Pellere Foundation. With a background in community resilience, and a master’s degree in Sustainability from Harvard University, Selina's career has been marked by a relentless commitment to use her passion for community service and keen understanding of the socio-economic challenges facing underserved regions to make a difference.
Her work is characterized by her belief in the power of collaboration and her commitment to practical, impactful outcomes. She eschews self-promotion in favor of highlighting the collective effort and shared vision that drive the Foundation’s initiatives. Her down-to-earth leadership style and genuine passion for community improvement have earned her respect and recognition in the field.
Under her leadership, Pellere has secured partnerships with key stakeholders, including technology innovators like Ben Franklin Technology Partners, government agencies at the local, state, and federal level, energy experts such as the National Renewable Energy Lab, and regional nonprofits and for-profit companies alike. These collaborations are central to the Foundation's success, enabling comprehensive and practical solutions to complex redevelopment challenges.
Beyond her professional achievements, Selina is known for her empathetic and inclusive approach, always prioritizing the voices and needs of the communities she serves. She continues to inspire and mobilize others towards creating a more resilient and equitable future.

Erin, along with her wife, Marcy, owns and operates the beloved Woods & River coffee shop in Oil City, where they have built a welcoming space for community gathering. Community Engagement Coordinator
Rachel Brosnahan, heading River Roots Redevelopment and serving as Pellere’s Community Engagement Coordinator, builds authentic connections between the foundation and local communities. Her work ensures projects align with community needs, creating inclusive, sustainable outcomes. Through her leadership at River Roots, Rachel fosters collaboration across sectors, empowering local voices through initiatives like "Coffee Chats," where residents share insights and ideas.
